    This notice is required by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) as an annual update on the progress of Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) control measures to improve the water quality of Alewife Brook. You are receiving this notice because your property lies within the extended 100-year floodplain of Alewife Brook as established and currently in effect by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

    Green Street Closure April 7th & 10th

    In conjunction with an ongoing project at the Manning Apartments (237 Franklin St.), Green Street will be closed on Friday, April 7th and Monday, April 10th from 9am-6pm to allow for the dismantling and removal of the cranes currently in the area.

    NOTICE: Pipe Lining on Fayerweather St, Granville Rd, and Green St

    As part of the Trenchless Rehabilitation Program for sewer and stormwater infrastructure, the City’s contractor will be rehabilitating pipes the weeks of March 13th and March 20th on several streets.
