Rindge Ave Sewer Repair Work, 4/26-4/28

Repair Work Starts Wednesday, April 26

On Wednesday, April 26, the city’s contractor, Mattuchio Construction, will begin repairing a section of the sewer main on Rindge Ave, between Yerxa Rd and Middlesex St.  We expect the work to take 2-3 days to complete, weather permitting.   

Project Schedule

• Crews will start the sewer repairs on Wednesday, April 26.
• We expect the work to take about 2-3 days to complete, weather permitting.
• Work hours are 9 AM to 3 PM, Wednesday through Friday.

What to Expect during Construction

• During work hours, westbound traffic heading towards Alewife will be detoured.  Please see detour map below.  Eastbound traffic towards Mass Ave will not be affected.
•  “No Parking” signs will be posted; please be sure to check dates/times.  Traffic signs and police details will be in place to assist neighbors.
• Emergency vehicles will have access at all times and all city services will continue.
• Local traffic, including buses, will be permitted through the work zone.
