DCR to Remove Six Hazardous Trees along Fresh Pond Parkway

 The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation will remove six hazardous trees along the Fresh Pond Parkway.

  • Across the street from 103 Fresh Pond Parkway
  • Between 81 and 87 Fresh Pond Parkway
  • In front of 54 Fresh Pond Parkway
  • In front of 30 Fresh pond parkway
  • Across the street from 26 Fresh Pond Parkway
  • Inbound side of Lowell Memorial Park next to wall

The trees will be removed, stumps ground down below grade and loamed and seeded. 

Why: The removal of hazardous trees is essential to roadway and public safety.

When: Starting at 9am-2pm on Monday 9/28/15, hazardous tree removal will commence along Fresh Pond Parkway from Huron Ave to Brattle St in Cambridge. The DCR will implement a rolling lane closure to facilitate the necessary tree work. Tree Removal will be conducted on both sides of the roadway, and will likely continue throughout the week.
