Notice of Overnight Work on Green St

In conjunction with an ongoing project at the Manning Apartments (237 Franklin St.), overnight work will be required beginning Tuesday, September 6th through Friday, September 9th to complete repairs on the existing excavation in the roadway on Green Street.

The work schedule is as follows:

  • Tuesday 9/6/17 -  8:40pm-4:50am
  • Wednesday 9/7/16 – 8:40pm-9:00am
  • Thursday 9/8/16 - 8:40pm-4:50am
  • Friday 9/9/16 - 8:40pm-4:50am

In addition, a water shutdown will occur in the area on Thursday, September 8th from 1:00am-9:00am.  Affected residents have been notified.

It is anticipated that excavation equipment will be in the roadway during these times, with lights and noise associated with this work.

During these dates and times, Green Street will be closed between Magazine Street and Pearl Street.

Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles at all times. The Green Street Garage and loading docks in the area will also be accessible during these times.

The contractor has coordinated with the MBTA to detour buses in the area.
