NOTICE: Eversource Roadway Grinding/Paving 7/13-7/15

Eversource Gas and their contractor will perform roadway grinding and paving on several streets throughout the City from Thursday, July 13th through Saturday, July 15th.

Streets where sections of the roadway/trenches will be paved include:
  • Hilliard St 
  • Hilliard Pl
  • Fuller Pl
  • Highland St
  • Winter St
  • Channing St
  • Cottage St
  • Brattle St
  • Ballard Pl
  • Buena Vista Pk
  • Cherry St
  • Everett St
  • St. Johns Road/Phillips Pl
Streets where the roadway will be paved curb-to-curb include:
  • Hayes St
  • Ballard Pl
  • King Pl
Residents are reminded to please check and obey posted “No Parking” signs as they may change frequently.

What to Expect During Roadway Grinding/Paving:
  • Most streets will remain open to traffic, but temporary closures will be in effect.
  • During the paving operations, detours and road closures will be in place while crews perform the work. Police details and signage will be onsite to direct drivers. 
  • There cannot be any cars parked on the street during the paving operation. Please be sure to check “No Parking” signs to avoid being ticketed and towed. 
  • When work occurs directly in front of driveways or entryways, the contractor will coordinate access with residents.
  • City services will continue uninterrupted and emergency vehicles will maintain access at all times.
  • Please note that all operations are weather dependent and may be rescheduled.
