Weekly Construction Highlights

Construction for the week of May 20, 2013

Broadway Improvements (Third Street to Ames Street)
MassDOT's contractor is working on sidewalks from Ames Street to Third Street. For more information about this project please click here.  For information about upcoming meetings please click here.

Broadway (Portland Street - Prospect Street) Reconstruction
The contractor will be finishing sidewalks from Protland Street to Clark Street on the south side. Please click here for more information. 

Chapter 90-Contract 15 (Meacham Road, Shea Road, Locke Street Woodbridge Street,)
The contractor will be working on sidewalks on the corner of Shea Road and Locke Street.

Waterhouse Street
One crew is located at Waterhouse Street and is currently working on sidewalks near Mass Ave.

Longfellow Road
The contractor will be finishing work early this week.

Myrtle/Magnolia Project
The City’s contractor continues to work on the installation of the storage take on Hovey Avenue. The contractor's second crew is working on sidewalks on Myrtle Avenue on the east side.
In connection with the Myrtle/Magnolia Project, the City’s Contractor, D’Allessandro Corporation, will be constructing a new concrete driveway on Lamont Ave. this Wednesday, May 22. This work is expected to only take one day, but to ensure that the concrete cures properly, vehicles will not be able to access Lamont Ave. from 7am on Wednesday, May 22 to 12pm on Friday, May 24. Lamont Ave. residents have already been notified about the closure.

Fawcett Street Project
Crews will be finishing water work on Fawcett Street today. Monday, May 20th there will be a water shutdown at 11:00pm.

Western Ave Reconstruction Project
Crews will be working on Western Ave from Blackstone Street to Memorial Drive on the east side on drainage. Additional crews will be working on Putnam Ave from River Street to Western Avenue on the sewer, the street will be closed during working hours.  The last crew will be working on the sewer on Howard Street.

Huron A Project 
Crews will be working on sewers on Grozier Road and Lakeveiw Avenue.

Forest Street Reconstruction Project
Crews will be out preparing the road this week for paving on Wednesday, May 22nd.  Please click here for more information about the paving schedule and road closures.
