Schedules and Routes 2013
Public Works provides weekly curbside pickup of household trash, as well as weekly pickup of household recycling and yard waste by a private contractor. Yard waste is collected April 1st through the second FULL week of December. The City is divided into five districts, to provide these services throughout the City on a five-day week, Monday through Friday.

2013 Holiday Week Pickup Schedule - Collection is one day behind (if your trash is usually picked up on Wednesday, during a holiday week, it will be picked up on Thursday, etc.).

- Monday : North Cambridge: all areas from the Arlington Line at Massachusetts Avenue down to Porter Square and back to the Sherman Street.
- Tuesday: West Cambridge: all Huron Avenue areas up to Fresh Pond and Mount Auburn Streets back toward the Mount Auburn Hospital.
- Wednesday : Mid-Cambridge: Broadway from Harvard Square to Antrim Street and Harvard Street from Harvard Square to Bigelow Street.
- Thursday : East Cambridge: Cambridge and Hampshire Streets from Prospect Street down to First Street including all the side streets.
- Friday : Central Square Area back to the Charles River: all streets within and in back of Central Square, and MIT area
