Acknowledgement Form for Curbside Compost Program

Please fill out the Acknowledgement Form after you have filled out the "I'm Interested" application form and have received confirmation from the City that your building meets the eligibility requirements for the curbside compost pickup pilot program.  This form acknowledges that you understand the program requirements.

I understand the following:

"I represent my household in Cambridge. I understand that my residential building is eligible to participate in the City's pilot program for free curbside compost pickup." I understand the following about the program:

The program is voluntary

The program will run from April 1, 2014 to March 30, 2015 with weekly pickup on Mondays. Please set out the curbside bin by 7am on Monday or after 6 pm on Sunday night.

My building will get a green curbside bin to share that will be stored outside.

Bin is for food scraps and soiled paper only
I agree not to place unaccepted materials into the green compost bin.

I understand these are the accepted items
Food Scraps: all vegetables & fruit scraps, meat scraps & bones, dairy products, seafood & shells, eggshells & nutshells, breads, cereal & pasta, cookies & candy, coffee grounds, even spoiled foods. No grease or liquids, no diapers or baby wipes, no pet or human waste, no cigarette butts, no dryer lint or dryer sheets, no plastic bags, no rigid plastic, no metal & foil, no glass, no expanded polystyrene (styrofoam), no plastic coated paper products (i.e. milk/juice cartons) See the complete list at cambridgema.gov/compostpickup
