Fluorescent Light Bulbs
Though all fluorescent bulbs contain mercury, their use is encouraged because they are highly energy efficient. Mercury is a naturally occurring element that can be toxic to humans, wildlife and can pollute our environment. Be aware of fish consumption advisories, call 1-866-9MERCURY for details.
Clean up broken bulbs, then place in a plastic bag. For long tubes, do not tape together and try to bring in a cardboard box.
