All road races permitted in the City of Cambridge must donate a portion of their proceeds to a Cambridge charitable organization with a 501 c-3 status. In addition, a record of the donation including the amount must be forwarded to the Special Events Committee: attention Annette Rodibaugh, within 21 days of the conclusion of the event.
The City of Cambridge requires all permitted road races to have a clearly designated "bag drop" area at the race. In addition, CPD officers must be allowed to enter the area to inspect the bags if needed. Any bags left outside the designated bag drop area will be treated as abandoned and may be subjected to further inspection which could result in damage to the bag. The City of Cambridge will not be held responsible for damages. Please notify all runners/participants beforehand and have signage to this effect near the race start.
All road races requesting Auxiliary Police Details must pay a donation of $300 prior to the race date to cover their expenses. To arrange for Auxiliary Police Details, contact their office at 617.349.9374.
