Cambridge Trees in Bloom in April
This map shows flowering trees planted and maintained by the City of Cambridge on streets, in parks and around city buildings that are typically in bloom in April. The map also includes flowering trees at the Harvard University and MIT campuses, on Department of Conservation & Recreation state parkland and in other parks and public spaces around the city. The density of all trees is visible as a heat map at the widest zoom levels showing hot spots where clusters of trees are in flower. Zoom in to view individual trees and get more information about each tree by clicking on a point. The actual bloom time of individual trees may vary by species, cultivar, microclimate and annual weather conditions. Please use this map as a guide for exploring Cambridge's urban forest as it comes into bloom in April, May, June and July. Visit the Urban Forestry Division for more information on planting and tree care provided by the Cambridge Department of Public Works.
