2. Snow Emergencies, when declared
3. Emergency Temporary "No Parking" signs posted 24 - 48 hours in advance for:
Moving Vans, General Construction Work, Street Repairs, Dumpsters, Special Events, etc.
Tow Fees
May 21, 2008 - May 20, 2009
Basic tow (vehicles up to 10,000 lbs.) $ 85.00
Vehicles over 10,000 lbs. up to 18,000 lbs. $ 100.00
Vehicles over 18,000 lbs. $ 260.00
Storage Fee per day $ 20.00
Basic tow charge for all motor vehicles during a snow emergency $110.00
The tow companies must accept payment by cash, credit card or guaranteed check.
The tow companies under contract with the city are B & B Tow, Pat's Tow & Phil's Tow.
Tow Operator Complaints
Complaints about the tow operator or tow company should be directed to the company that towed your car. A copy of your complaint should be sent to the City of Cambridge, Purchasing Agent, City Hall, 735 Mass Ave, Cambridge, MA 02139.
Tow Disputes
Disputes can be submitted on-line, by-mail or in the office. Tow receipt & copy of the parking ticket must be received by fax (617-349-4747) or mail to the attention of Margaret Ranstrom with 7 days of submission.
