Parking is available for residents and visitors.  Residents may park in resident permit parking areas with a resident parking permit issued by the Traffic Department. Visitors may park in the resident parking permit area of the person they are visiting with a visitor's permit. Metered parking is found in business areas. Parking Control Officers constantly monitor all areas. The City operates two Municipal garages, one in East Cambridge and another in Central Square. The City, also, has nine metered off-street parking lots.
