General Business

  • Update by Beth Rubenstein, Assistant City Manager for Community Development.
  • 7:00 P. M. Board of Zoning Appeal Cases. Comprehensive permit for LBJ Apartments at 150 Erie Street, by the Cambridge Housing Authority.

Public Hearing

  • 7:20 p.m. City Council Petition to amend the Zoning Ordinance to encourage green building construction in Cambridge: The petition would require conformance to LEED building standards for large developments that are currently subject to a special permit or an Article 19.000 Building and Site Plan review. The Petition would also remove impediments currently found in the Zoning Ordinance to building energy efficient buildings and installing green roofs and solar energy systems. A new Article 22.000 – Sustainable Design and Development would be created. Relevant sections of Article 2.000 – Definitions, Sections 5.23 - Height Exceptions, 10.32 - Variance standards and Section 19.30 – Citywide Urban Design Objectives would be amended to reflect the new initiatives. A new Section 10.49 – Special Permits and Section 19.510 - Green Building Requirements would be created.

General Business

  • PB#243, review of Alexandria draft Final Development Plan Approval and vote.
  • PB#247, 22 Water St, extension request for 2nd public hearing.
  • PB#66, CambridgeSide Galleria, minor amendment to review the site plan of the garage.
  • Other.
