Cambridgeport Revitalization Plan
The Cambridgeport Revitalization Plan, published in 1983, addressed the diverse needs of the Cambridgeport community by proposing a program of balanced development. The report includes proposals for housing, open space, transportation and business development improvements. Many of the recommendations found in the Plan served as the basis for actions that occurred over the proceeding twenty years.

University Park at MIT Design Guidelines
The University Park at MIT Design Guidelines were published in 1987 and amended in 1999. They provide detailed guidelines for the development of University Park by MIT in partnership with Forest City.
Cambridgeport Blue Ribbon Committee Report
The Cambridgeport Blue Ribbon Committee Report, issued is December 1986, sought to address major address affecting development in Cambridgeport that heretofore had eluded concensus. The study, conducted by a committee appointed by the City Manager, focused on land use, urban design, housing, open space, traffic and employment opportunities.
South Cambridgeport Development Guidelines
These guidelines, issued in 1992, supplement provisions of the Zoning Ordinance for Planning Board special permit projects granted south of Pacific Street and west of Albany Street.
