Income levels are based upon the median income for the Boston MA-NH PMSA, as calculated by HUD for the purposes of managing affordable housing programs. The 1999 median income calculated for a family of four in the Boston MA - NH PMSA was $68,800. Adjustment is made for average household size in the census tract. Only persons living in households are evaluated for income level; no group quarters occupants are evaluated. | ||||||
| 2. Very low income as defined as less than 30% of the area median income. | ||||||
| 3. Low Income is defined as greater than 30% up to 50% of area median income. | ||||||
| 4. Moderate Income is defined as greater than 50% up to 80% of area median income. | ||||||
