You can look up the census tract number and zip code for any address in the United States using the these links.
6. I would like to find maps of the City of Cambridge.
A number of popular maps can be found through the Frequently Requested Maps list, including maps of Parks and Playgrounds, Waterplay Locations, Public Transit, and Census Boundaries. The City of Cambridge GIS staff maintain a map look up page. One of their more popular maps is a General Use City Street Map. 7. Where can I find help if I am having a housing emergency?
For names and contact information for organizations that can help you with a housing emergency consult the Housing Services page.
8. Where can I find out how to apply for available affordable housing?
The first step in applying for affordable housing marketed through the Community Development Department is to complete the Affordable Housing Mailing List Form. When housing is currently available it is listed under the Current Affordable Housing Opportunities.
9. I am interested in getting help starting a new business.
The Economic Development Division offers several programs to people interested in starting a new business, including the Business Development Service Program, Assistance Obtaining Capital, and Individual Business Counseling. Several Business Development Resources are also available through the Division's web page.
10. I am a business owner and would like to learn about the facade, signage, and lighting improvement programs.
Visit the Facade, Signage, and Lighting Improvement Program web page for more information. Please note that improvements made prior to approval of an a design and contract by the Program's review committee will not be funded.
11. I would like to find out about public transit alternatives for commuting.
The Transportation Options page links to a number of organizations that provide transportation information, including the EZRide shuttle and the MBTA. You might want to look at the Cambridge Public Transit Map. Information about the PTDM Ordinance is available through the Transportation Demand Management page.

The Lead-Safe Cambridge program, offered through the Environmental and Transportation Planning Division, provides educational information and funds a program to assist private property owners seeking to delead their units.
