Home Improvement Programs
Several City sponsored programs administered by non-profit organizations or other City programs offer home improvement assistance to property owners. These programs are designed to provide assistance to variety of properties and property owners to cope with a range of problems that affect housing condition and affordability.
Home Improvement Program for One to Four Family Properties
In conjunction with two local nonprofit organizations, the City offers zero- and low-interest home improvement loans to income-eligible owners of one to four-family buildings through the Home Improvement Program.

Home Improvement Program for Multi-family Properties
The Cambridge Neighborhood Affordable Housing Services program provides low-interest loans to owners of multi-family properties.

Lead Paint Abatement

Both Just-A-Start and Homeowners Rehab operate home improvement programs that can address lead paint problems for income eligible applicants.
