A regular meeting of the Board of Library Trustees was held on Monday, June 1 1998 at 7:30 in the DirectorÌs Office of the Main Library.

A motion to accept the minutes of the May 1998 meeting was passed.
Ms. Flannery provided board members with a draft of the letter to Robert W. Healy, City manager that they requested at the May 1998 meeting. The Board unanimously requested that Ms. Flannery make several changes and send it immediately to the City Manager.
Ms. Flannery distributed a list of 1998/1999 meeting dates for the Board of Library Trustees. The list was approved.
Ms. Flannery reported that the agreement with Cambridge Community Foundation had been signed by Mrs. Olive Johnson and delivered to Mr. Robert Hurlbut along with a donation from Ms. Flannery to start the account for the library.
Representatives from Sasaki Associates attended the meeting to discuss their siting study for a new main library building. Board members voiced their concerns about meeting the needs of CRLS students and teachers if the library was moved from its current site. It was noted that MBTA service on Broadway was scheduled to be reinstated within the next three weeks.
The next meeting of the Board of Library Trustees will be on Monday, July 6, 1998 at 7:30 p.m. at the Main Library. There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 9:45 p.m.
