In addition to the Cambridge Small Business Coaching Program, there are a variety of local and regional organizations offering small business technical support, mentoring, and education sessions around COVID-19 topics. Below please find a listing of organizations offering small business support.

Please note: unless otherwise noted, these programs are not presented by the City of Cambridge. If you have questions on a particular program, please contact the organizer directly.

Accounting & Financial Assistance

The Capital Network

• This entrepreneurship organization has made its membership-only virtual events available to the public. Topics include raising capital, accounting & payroll practices, and loan forgiveness.

• This coalition of law firms, nonprofits, and governmental agencies is providing mentorship and coaching assistance to businesses seeking to procure emergency loans and other sources of financial relief.

Community Teamwork’s Entrepreneurship Center

• This organization offers virtual business coaching focused on business plan creation, pre-launch financial planning, and cash-flow & operations management.

Legal Assistance

Lawyers for Civil Rights Boston

• This organization provides free legal support to qualifying entrepreneurs and small businesses who are residents of Massachusetts.

Community Business Clinic at Northeastern University School of Law

• This organization is offering free 30-minute advice sessions for small businesses to ask questions on issues regarding financial assistance applications, rent negotiations, and reopening guidelines.

• This pro-bono service provides free and/or low-cost legal assistance for the following services: business formation; contract review; commercial financing; commercial leasing; real estate purchases; business acquisitions; arts, entertainment, and intellectual property matters.

Boston Globe's Media Small Business Community

• A group of business owners and executives convening through The Boston Globe to receive access to exclusive Boston Globe Media resources, including a small business Slack channel, access to Boston Globe editorial staff, and curated, relevant journalism.

• A workforce of community development organizations in Massachusetts that is providing networking support and helping small businesses navigate the Paycheck Protection Program.

Boston Society for Architecture & Boston Society of Landscape Architects

• These organizations are offering free conceptual design assistance for restaurants looking to redesign outdoor seating and interior spaces to comply with COVID-19 physical distancing requirements.
