In February the City of Cambridge was deeply saddened by the passing of Brian Murphy, Assistant City Manager for Community Development. Brian was a dedicated husband and father, and a close personal friend to many of us in this City.

In the words of Iram Farooq, the Deputy Director of CDD, "Brian was an incredible person, a fantastic coworker, one of the smartest people I knew, and he was totally committed to the city."

Brian's legacy continues in his concern for all aspects of the Cambridge community and the many projects he initiated at the Community Development Department. Our community will in time come together to celebrate his life and the incredible contributions he made to our City and the Commonwealth. Our focus at this moment is to support his loved ones and to respect his family as they grieve.
