About the Survey

In Fall 2015 and 2016, a student survey was undertaken at Cambridge schools participating in the Safe Routes to School program. The surveys use a classroom hand-raising tally to determine what percentage of students travel to and from school by different transportation modes. No personally identifiable information about students was collected. Shown below are walking & biking rates over both survey years as well as a full travel mode breakdown for each year.
