Neighborhood Solar Offers New Program to Cambridge Residents and Businesses

Neighborhood Solar joins GreenCambridge, Mothers Out Front, and 350-Cambridge to offer a solar group-buy offer for all residents, businesses, and non-profits in Cambridge. The program, available March 1, 2019 through July 31, 2019, is designed to take advantage of Massachusetts’ new SMART solar incentive program (photovoltaics), the Mass CEC rebates and Alternative Energy Certificates (solar hot water), and the last year of the 30% federal tax program.

An all-volunteer program, Neighborhood Solar partners with SunBug Solar, a seven year-running Angie’s List Super Service Award winner, and New England Solar Hot Water to offer a 20% discount on solar photovoltaics and a 14% discount on solar hot water systems. The goal of this program is to combine these incentives, rebates, and tax credits with the best solar prices and the best solar quality and craftsmanship.

Community energy initiatives like Neighborhood Solar promote energy efficiency and renewable energy generation, which contribute to the City's Net Zero Action Plan goals.
