People's Choice Poll

Voting for the People's Choice Poll has now closed. 948 votes were collected from Monday, March 2 until Friday, March 6, 2020.

Congratulations to our top three trucks:

Complete schedules for the upcoming season will be made available to the public soon.

For each public location included in the People's Choice Poll, the top three vote-earning food trucks or trailers will be awarded one point. That point is then factored into an applicant's overall point system awarded through the application process. Final scheduling is then overseen by an internal review committee which takes into account an applicant's overall points and any points awarded through the People's Choice Poll.

The point system and People's Choice Poll has helped to ensure that the program goals of supporting first-time food business entrepreneurs, as well as women- and minority-owned businesses, are being met. To learn more about the history of the Food Truck Program and the Food Truck Pilot test period, read the full Food Truck Pilot report.

To be eligible for inclusion in the People's Choice Poll, food truck or trailer applicants must have submitted all of the following by February 21, 2020:

  • Complete Food Truck Program application with a signature and tax ID
  • Truck or trailer license plate number
  • Menu
  • ServeSafe Certification
  • Health permit for restaurant or commissary where food is prepped
  • Copy of a Doing Business As (DBA) Certificate from the State of Massachusetts showing date of business incorporation.
