Celebrating Disability Pride is a festive event for the whole community that aims to increase visibility, dignity and inclusion of people with disabilities while raising awareness and reducing stigma. Conceived by a coalition of Cambridge residents with lived experience, this event aims to foster positive change and community celebration, modeling an inclusive and accessible public gathering.

Bring your friends and family to enjoy creative and entertaining activities — silent disco, arts and crafts, free food, giveaways, sensory-friendly area with tactile activities, informational tabling on resources, and more!

Event Details

  • Registration: Register to get a free t-shirt at the event!
  • Transportation and Parking: visit the event website to learn more about directions to the venue and accessible options for transportation and parking. 
  • Interpretation: ASL, Bangla, and Spanish live interpretation services are available. To request an interpreter for this event or for additional support accessing the materials or space, please contact accesshelp@cambridgema.gov by Friday, September 26. 
  • Public restrooms are available at the Cambridge Public Library.
  • EMS will be on site.

This event is a collaborative effort between the Cambridge Public Health Department (CPHD), Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA), the Cambridge Commission for Persons with Disabilities (CCPD), Cambridge Arts, Metropolitan Area Planning Council (MAPC), Committee on Civic Unity, Department of Recreation, Peace Commission, and Inclusive Health Coalition members.
