Cambridge Police placed Taj Nunez, 32, 9 Blackwood Street in Boston, under arrest for warrants out of Cambridge District Court for Shoplifting and Possession to Distribute Counterfeit Drugs. Nunez was located by police shortly after he shoplifted from a business in Central Square. He had possession of the stolen merchandise on his person when stopped and will also be charged shoplifting by asportation.

Cambridge Police were called to Broadway for a report of a past aggravated assault and battery. The victim, a 75-year-old male, reported that two young men randomly attacked him on Harvard Street earlier in the night. He declined to be transported to a local hospital after initially reporting the incident to his manager at work.
