Cambridge police responded to a Central Square business for a disturbance.

RECEIVE STOLEN PROPERTY +$1200 C266 S60

GREEN ST
Cambridge Police were in the area of Central Square when approached by a victim of a motor vehicle larceny. The victim observed his stolen motor vehicle on River Street driving toward Massachusetts Avenue. The suspect driving and the passenger seat fled the area leaving the car in traffic. One male was unloading goods from the vehicle onto the sidewalk when officers arrived on scene. The vehicle was confirmed stolen with Emergency Communications Center. After an investigation, Joseph Branley, 32, homeless, was arrested for Receiving Stolen Property after he was observed exiting the confirmed stolen vehicle and was unable to explain how he was in possession of the vehicle. Two other suspects fled the area as Branley began to unload diapers, Monster Energy drinks, formula and a spray mop out of the vehicle onto the sidewalk.

MASSACHUSETTS AVE
Cambridge Police responded to the area of Western Avenue for a report of a stabbing. Two male victims, who are in their 20s, were located; one in the area of 750 Massachusetts Avenue and the other in the area of 5 Western Avenue. They were transported to local hospitals after sustaining potentially life-threatening injuries. Following an altercation between the victims, two male suspects were seen running towards River Street following the stabbings.

Cambridge Police responded to a Mass Ave business for a reported past shoplifting. After arriving on scene and making contact with the reporting party, it was confirmed that $200 worth of merchandise was stolen by an unknown suspect at approximately 10:30 a.m. earlier that morning.

Cambridge Police arrested Tony Villegas, 67, unhoused out of Boston, for stealing two vacuums from a business in Central Square. The two vacuums totaled $449.98. Police found Villegas on the MBTA Red Line inbound platform, which is near the business he stole from, with two vacuums still with security tags on them.
