Cambridge Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and Peabody Street for a vehicle with no inspection sticker. Further investigation revealed the operator was unlicensed in Massachusetts. As a result, he will be summonsed for No Inspection Sticker and Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle.

POSSESSION OF LARGE CAPACITY FEEDING DEVICE OR LAR

GARDEN ST
A search warrant was conducted by the Cambridge and Somerville Police at a Garden Street residence. The search warrant authorized the search of a residence and a Craig Smith, 20, 243 Garden Street in Cambridge. The search warrant also authorized the seizure of specific items of clothing mentioned in the addendum, as well as cellular devices, firearms, and ammunition. During the execution of the search warrant, Craig Smith was located sleeping in his bedroom. During a search of his bedroom, a loaded firearm with a high-capacity feeding device inserted into the firearm (15 rounds total), one round of 9mm caliber ammunition, and approximately 1.23 pounds of marijuana were located. Additionally, several other items including a digital scale, plastic baggies, and packaging consistent with the distribution of drugs, were located in his bedroom. Smith does not have a LTC/FID to possess a firearm or ammunition. The firearm was also not stored in a locked container or equipped with a lock or other safety device. As a result, Smith will be charged with three counts of Possession of a Firearm/Ammunition without an FID Card, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Failure to Secure a Firearm, and Possession to Distribute a Class D Drug.

Cambridge Police Department responded to a Massachusetts Avenue facility for an assault in progress. As a result, a resident of Cambridge is being summonsed for Assault and Battery due to forcefully grabbing a victim by the arm and backpack. He was also involuntarily transported to a hospital following a completion of a Section 12 due to his behavior and statements made on scene.

ALEWIFE BROOK PKWY
Cambridge Police responded to Alewife Brook Parkway department store for a shoplifting in progress. Officers observed Tiffany Savage, 49, 341 Broadway in Cambridge, who matched the provided description and carrying a blue bag with what appeared to be merchandise from the store. It was learned that Savage had physically assaulted a store employee who tried to stop her. It was later determined that Savage had stole goods in her possession. As a result, she was placed under arrest for Assault and Battery and Shoplifting by Asportation.

As a result of the stop, a resident of Somerville was issued a criminal application for a complaint, after it was concluded that they were operating a motor vehicle on a public way after his Massachusetts Driver License was suspended.
