The Cambridge Police announced that four individuals have been arrested in connection with an early morning stabbing and a late evening double stabbing in Central Square on July 10, 2022. No additional suspects are being sought for the stabbings. The Cambridge Police have been actively investigating the stabbings, and working closely with residents, businesses, and other community partners since these reports were initially received.

On Sunday, July, 10, 2022, officers were able to locate evidence in Central Square of a stabbing following an apparent fight prior to 4 a.m. near the intersection of Mass. Ave. and Pleasant Street. A male victim arrived at the emergence entrance of a Cambridge hospital with stab wounds and the Cambridge Police were notified. The victim then was treated and discharged from the hospital late Sunday morning. A report was then received later Sunday evening by the Cambridge Emergency Communications at 8:04 p.m. regarding two males who had been stabbed in Central Square. One of the male victims was located in the area of 750 Massachusetts Avenue and the other — the same victim who was discharged from the hospital following Sunday morning’s stabbing — was found in the area of 5 Western Avenue. Both males suffered potentially life-threatening injuries. Fortunately, neither of the stabbings proved to be fatal and both victims are expected to recover.

The following four individuals were arrested in the Central Square area and charged with the following crimes:

  • Jahhiaha Carr, 23, who is Houseless: Assault with Intent to Murder; Armed Robbery; Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon; and Assault and Battery to Collect a Loan
  • Talia Jackson, 23, of Chelsea: Armed Robbery; Armed Assault with Intent to Murder; Assault and battery with a Dangerous Weapon; Assault and Battery to Collect a Loan; and Carrying a Dangerous Weapon
  • Dakari Henderson, 18, of Boston: Armed Assault with Intent to Murder; and Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon
  • Hulbert Desanges, 37, of Boston: two Counts of Assault and Battery Dangerous Weapon; two Counts of Armed Assault with Intent to Murder; and Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.

These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
