Cambridge Police was responded to a bank located on the 1200 block of Massachusetts Avenue for a report an individual who was attempting to cash a neighbor's check that didn't match the neighbors signature. The bank reached out to the customer and confirmed with the customer that no such check was authorized to the individual at the branch site. After speaking with bank manager, the bank teller and victim on the phone, Jerry Vastey, 20, 1 Putnam Gardens in Cambridge, was placed under arrest without incident for Uuttering, Forgery of a Check, two counts of Receiving Stolen Property and Attempting to Commit a Crime. Nikos Sneed, 32, 19 Wagner Road in Medford, was arrested at Massachusetts Avenue and Temple Street following a motor vehicle stop where it was determined that he had an outstanding warrant issued out of the East Boston District Court charging him with Failure to Stop/Yield, Uninsured Motor Vehicle, Unregistered Motor Vehicle, Possession of an Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle, and Possession of a Class B Substance. As a result of this stop, he was additionally charged with Uninsured Motor Vehicle and Unregistered Motor Vehicle.
