A Cambridge Police Officer was approached by a patron of a JFK Street business that his backpack had just been stolen inside the store. Cambridge Police reviewed the video surveillance and identified the suspect. Marie Anne Costa, 46, 11 Inman Street in Cambridge, was located in the area a short time later with the victim’s backpack on her person. She was placed under arrest for Larceny from Person. During the booking process, crystal methamphetamine was discovered inside of Costa's wallet. Costa will also be charged with Possession of a Class B Drug.
