Cambridge Police responded to a Mass Ave convenience store for a 911 hang-up call that turned into an Unarmed Robbery, Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, and Malicious Destruction Under $1200. Four males had entered the store and started grabbing several items. An employee locked the door after three males left, but one remained in the store. The one male in the store threw items around in the store, the employee reopened the door, and the other males came back in struck the employee, and fled the area.

Upon arrival, officers subsequently placed Yashona Jennings, 51, 123 Hamilton Street in Dorchester, under arrest for several warrants out of Boston District Court, including Shoplifting by Asportation, Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, and Assault and Battery.

Cambridge Police responded to a disturbance in the area of Magazine Street. Upon further investigation a Canton resident was summonsed to Cambridge District Court for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon after assaulting an EMS employee by kicking him in the face with a shod foot while being transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.

KINNAIRD ST
Cambridge Police arrested Emiris Morrobel, 28, 40 Chestnut Road in Tyngsboro, for OUI Liquor. Cambridge Police were called to River Street for a report of a motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival, police spoke to a named witness who found Morrobel passed out in the driver's seat of a severely damaged vehicle parked on the side of River Street at Kinnaird Street. The witness stated that the vehicle was off with the hazard lights on. Officers spoke to Morrobel, who was still sitting in the driver's seat. Morrobel admitted to driving and crashing the vehicle. Officers observed Morrobel to have slurred speech, a smell of alcoholic beverage on her breath, and glassy eyes. Morrobel ultimately admitted to drinking three alcoholic beverages prior to driving. Morrobel also admitted to smoking half of a joint earlier in the night. It should be noted that the vehicle was registered to Morrobel and there were no other people in the vehicle. Officers located the keys to the vehicle inside the vehicle. It should be noted that the vehicle had a keyless ignition. Officers followed skid marks on the road from Morrobel’s vehicle to the scene of the crash. It was apparent that Morrobel had struck a tree, a mailbox, and two signs on the sidewalk in the crash on River Street by the intersection with Howard/Kelly Street. Morrobel showed multiple signs of impairment during field sobriety tests.
