Analysis of the unofficial crime totals between January 1, 2021 and December 31, 2021 indicates that violent crimes registered a 10% uptick when compared with last year, and property crimes crept upward 6% with 130 additional crimes reported when compared with the end of the year totals for 2020. Overall, there was a moderate increase of 7% in the Part One index total reported to the FBI when compared with the same time period in 2020. Read More.
