The Central Square Branch of the Cambridge Public Library is excited to announce that we are now accepting submissions for the 25th Annual Cambridge Public Library Youth Poetry Contest for K-8 students who live or go to school in Cambrige.
Submit your original poems by Tuesday, April 30.
Poems will be judged for interesting content and creativity as well as consistent and imaginative style. Winners will be notified in mid-May, and prizes will be awarded at a ceremony and reading on Wednesday, May 29 at 6 p.m. Poems in languages other than English are welcomed but must also include English translations (which do not need to be poetic). Winning poems may be published online.

Join us in this 12-week Tai Chi practice, which focuses on the mind and body connection. Tai Chi is a fluid sequence of movements choreographed in a low impact routine.
Sifu Mynor Diaz has been learning and teaching Tai Chi classes for over 20 years. He has taught classes at five VA Boston Healthcare System locations and at Senior Centers.
Note: We will be running two separate Tai Chi Paradigm series this year, a Wednesday series and a Friday series. Due to the popularity of this series, we expect participats to attend all the classes. Please register for only one of the series.

Join us at the Collins Branch of the Cambridge Public Library to make your own sun-printed image with cyanotyping! Materials and instructions will be provided to allow you to create your own unique monochromatic print. Recommended for adults and children above the age of 5 with their adult.
This event will take place in the Collins Branch courtyard and is contingent on sunny weather conditions.
Due to the limited amount of supplies, registration is required.
