  Vinyl Cutting 101 (Main)

  Would you like to make your own vinyl signs, stickers, or images to transfer to T-shirts and other textiles? In this workshop, you can learn how to use our Roland Camm-1 GS-24 vinyl cutter. You can then design a sticker and cut it with our vinyl cutter! Registration is required. You must complete Hive Safety Training before registering for this workshop.

  XR Lab 101 (Main)

  Extended reality (XR) opens the door to worlds and experiences outside the everyday through virtual reality, augmented reality, and mixed reality equipment. Test drive our Microsoft HoloLens augmented reality glasses, Structure Sensor 3D scanner, Merge headsets, and more. Registration is required.   CPL: Summer Dance in the Park

  Want to add some new dance steps to your routine? Spend your mornings at Cambridge Public Library and learn new dances! In partnership with The Dance Complex, all are welcomed to this free outdoor dance class series. The class will take place in the park area in front of the library or in the Community room in chances of rain. Stretch with Lisa Simon This class is all stretch! A combination of styles from dance , yoga, and Pilates, that I have refined over the more than 40 years of teaching. It flows slowly, and is both relaxing and invigorating. Registration is not required.

Join this workshop to become familiar with studio equipment and software. Registration is required. You must complete Hive Safety Training before registering for this workshop.

  Sewing 101 (Main)

  Main Library, 449 Broadway, Cambridge, MA 02138

  In this 90-minute workshop, you’ll learn the basics of sewing machine operation and safety. This session will cover machine setup, basic functions, threading the machine, reloading the bobbin, sewing straight stitches, and recognizing when stitch tension has gone awry. We’ll also cover some safety best practices when operating a sewing machine. As we learn together, we’ll work on a simple sewing project—a drawstring bag—which most students will be able to complete by the end of the class. You must complete Hive Safety Training before registering for this workshop.
