    • Aging with Mindfulness (Virtual)

      This 8 week program will introduce and utilize mindfulness techniques to help us examine and regulate everyday life changes with a focus on aging. Participants will learn and benefit from the development of a mindfulness practice to enable responding to getting older in a calm, clear and thoughtful manner. Led by Zeenat Potia, a meditation teacher with over 15 years of training and experience. Registration is required. This is a virtual event. A Zoom link will be sent to all registered participants 1 hour before the event.

    • Vinyl Cutting 101 (Main)

      Main Library, 449 Broadway, Cambridge, MA 02138

      Would you like to make your own vinyl signs, stickers, or images to transfer to T-shirts and other textiles? In this workshop, you can learn how to use our Roland Camm-1 GS-24 vinyl cutter. You can then design a sticker and cut it with our vinyl cutter! Registration is required. You must complete Hive Safety Training before registering for this workshop.

    • Wellness for Older Adults: Low-impact Fitness (Main)

      This class is designed for people of all levels to strengthen the muscles, the heart and the brain--all while having fun and moving to great music! Come as you are and take everything at your own pace. You will feel the benefits in mind and body! Registration for each session is required.

    • High Beginner ESOL Class (Central Square)

      Central Square Branch, 45 Pearl St., Cambridge, MA 02139

      Join us for an English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Class. This class will be taught at an high beginner level. No testing is needed.. For more information call Maria Balestrieri at 617-349-4013.

    • Hive Safety Training (Virtual)

      In this workshop, you will learn about our makerspace, how to use our resources, and how to keep safe in The Hive. Registration is required. The Zoom link will be sent out an hour before the workshop starts. Before taking in-person workshops in The Hive, all makers must bring signed copies of The Hive User Agreement and Waivers.

    • Cambridge Cooks: All Things Salsa with Hiram Falfan

      We kick off the return of Cambridge Cooks with a lesson in all things salsa from local chef Hiram Falfan! Cambridge Cooks invites local chefs for a free cooking demonstration, followed by a tasting and Q&A with the chef. About the chef: Growing up in Tijuana, Baja California, México, Hiram Falfan's father would take him for tacos often- even after they moved to San Diego, CA, his family would cross the border frequently just to enjoy birria.Hiram started Taquisimo in March 2022 as a pop-up at Nibble Kitchen in Bow Market. After a successful internship at Nibble Kitchen, Hiram decided to open his very own space at Bow Market to continue to share this experience with his community and introduce people to the flavors of Baja California street tacos.
