    • Reaching for the Stars: Get to Know Women in Space

      Main Library, Curious George Room, 449 Broadway, Cambridge, MA 02138

      Join Maia Weinstock, MIT science editor and lecturer on the history of women in STEM, as well as the creator of LEGO’s Women of NASA set, for a kids’-focused workshop on women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics who’ve made important contributions to space history. Following a brief presentation, attendees will take part in crafts and a reading exercise celebrating historic women in the space industry. They will have a chance to view the Women of NASA LEGOs and take home a book on one of the celebrated women.

      Attend an inspiring book reading, discover the way light travels across our Universe, hold in your hands 3D galaxies, build origami stars and so much more! The event will also feature a Q&A session and an exclusive book signing of a selection of Kim Arcand's works. Free and open to families of all ages, join us for a fun, interactive and educational journey through the mysteries of the Universe.
