The deadline to register for the State/Presidential Election on November 3rd is this Saturday, October 24th at 8 p.m., and the Election Commission will be open from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. this Saturday to help eligible residents register.

Residents can check their voter registration status online at www.sec.state.ma.us/voterregistrationsearch/myvoterregstatus.aspx

Residents can also register in person at the Early Voting locations at the Longfellow Community School (359 Broadway), Cambridge Water Department (250 Fresh Pond Parkway), and Valente Library (826 Cambridge Street) on Thursday, October 22nd, from 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., Friday, October 23rd, 9:30am – 5 p.m., and on Saturday, October 24th 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Registering online:

In order to register to vote online, you must have a signature on file with the Registry of Motor Vehicles. If you currently have a Massachusetts driver's license or state ID card, you may use the online voter registration applicationto register, update your address, or change your party affiliation. Voter registration forms submitted online must be submitted by midnight on the date of the voter registration deadline.

Registering in person:

If you would like to register in-person, you may do so by making an appointment at the Election Commission office at 51 Inman Street or by coming in person this Saturday between 1 p.m. and 8 p.m. Please come to the side door of the building on Inman Place or, weather permitting, there will be space outside in the garden next to the City Hall Annex where voters can register in person.

Residents should wear a face mask or covering when registering or voting in person at and adhere to social distancing requirements to help mitigate public health risks. In addition, hand sanitizer will be available for use by residents.
