2020 Post-Election Audit

Please be advised that in accordance with the provisions of Section 109A of Chapter 54 of the General Laws, the City of Cambridge was chosen for a post-election audit during a random, publicly verifiable, non-computerized drawing which was held by the Office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.  The City of Cambridge Election Commission will audit the office of President and Vice-President, Senator in Congress, Representative in Congress Fifth District and Ballot Question #1 on the ballot for Ward 7 Precinct 3.  The Cambridge Board of Election Commissioners will begin the post-election audit on Monday, November 9, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. and it will be conducted at Citywide Senior Center, 806 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA.  

Observers must use face coverings and must maintain a minimum physical distancing of six (6) feet from all other observers and workers. Observers will also be asked to take additional safety measures such as regular hand hygiene, cough etiquette, and general respect for cleanliness and sanitation. Observers should not attend if they have COVID-19 symptoms such as cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, and/or new loss of taste or smell.

If you would like to observe the advance depositing of ballots, we ask that you arrive at the rear entrance of the center on Green Street on the scheduled days. Upon arrival please call (617)349-6214 to gain access to the building.
