The City of Cambridge Election Commission has secured six (6) exterior official ballot drop box locations for the upcoming election to ensure the 2020 State/Presidential Election. The ballot drop boxes are accessible, secure, and safe for voters and election workers.
The Early Voting locations are open through Friday (August 28, 2020) from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. We urge voters who have not requested a vote-by-mail ballot to take advantage of the early voting option. It has been relatively quiet at the three locations, there are no lines, you’ll be in and out in minutes.
These ballots must be received by 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1, 2020. Voters can either return their ballots by mail or place them in the drop box located at 51 Inman Street.
The vote-by-mail ballot request deadline is today, August 26, at 5 p.m. The vote-by-mail ballot request applications must be in the possession of the Election Office by 5 p.m
Cambridge Election Commission will conduct advance removal of voted State Primary ballots from their sealed envelope on Monday, August 24, Tuesday, August 25 and Wednesday, August 26, beginning at 11 a.m., at the Citywide Senior Center, 806 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge.
The deadline to register to vote for the September 1st State Primary is Saturday, August 22nd at 8 p.m.
If you are interested in registering to vote in person on August 22nd please come to 51 Inman Street from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Staff will be located outside to assist anyone wanting to register to vote.
Cambridge Election Commission will conduct advance depositing of voted State Primary ballots into a tabulator on Thursday, August 27 and Friday, August 28, beginning at 11 a.m., at the Citywide Senior Center, 806 Massachusetts Ave., Cambridge.
