The City of Cambridge’s LGBTQ+ Commission and the Human Rights Commission are holding a training on Thursday, June 13, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Main Library, 449 Broadway, regarding how businesses can comply with the state’s gender identity non-discrimination law in places of public accommodation. In addition, the training will cover best practices for maintaining inclusive environments regardless of one’s gender identity. This training is open to all businesses. Please contact the Human Rights Commission if you have any questions.

Effective Oct. 1, 2016, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts prohibits discrimination based on gender identity in places of Public Accommodation.  A place of public accommodation as defined in M.G.L.c. 272 92A includes any place open to and serving the public.
