Cambridge Digs DEEP III Equity Inventory: Inclusive Policies and Practices Across Cambridge City Departments 
 
Cambridge, MA (Wednesday, January 30, 2018)—The third conversation of the Cambridge Digs Deep series, titled “Equity Inventory: Inclusive Policies and Practices Across Cambridge City Departments,” will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2019, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Sullivan Chamber of City Hall.  
 
Mayor McGovern, Councillor Siddiqui, and representatives from City Departments including Equity and Inclusion, Human Services, Police, and Cambridge Public Schools will answer questions and present on the City’s work toward achieving a more equitable, anti-racist Cambridge through its policies, practices, and education.  
 
There will be food beginning at 5:30 p.m., followed by the presentations and a Q&A period from 6:008:00 p.m. The event is open to all and childcare will be provided beginning at 6:00 p.m. For information on the program, please contact Sarah Stillman, Council Aide, at sstillman@cambridgema.gov. 
 
Cambridge Digs DEEP is an initiative launched by Mayor Marc McGovern and Councilor Sumbul Siddiqui to engage the community in conversations about equity, privilege, diversity, inclusion, and race in a series of forums and workshops starting November 2018 and continuing through 2019. Mayor McGovern and Councillor Siddiqui’s Offices have partnered with Disruptive Equity Education Project (DEEP) to co-design and facilitate these conversations. DEEP is an organization focused on changing mindsets around equity and dismantling systemic oppression and racism.
