City Sourcing Water from the Massachusetts Water Resource Authority

Water Department entrance
The City of Cambridge has announced that due to the increase of PFAS levels, the Massachusetts Water Resource Authority will supply all of Cambridge’s public water through the end of the year.

Access to a high quality and safe water supply is essential for all Cambridge residents, students, and visitors. Replacing our existing filter media allows Cambridge to take the critical step toward ensuring that our PFAS levels remain below the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection’s regulatory standard. I support the city’s decision to remain in the MWRA’s system throughout the replacement process.
