1.  Housekeeping, 9:15am (10 min)

·         Vote on March Minutes.

·         Procedure for speaking.

·         September Meeting and beyond; is 9:15am the best time to meet?

 

2. City Updates (30 min)

·         Curbside compost update.

o   New LCA study from EPA on food waste processing options in MA. See here.

·         BYOB Ordinance—reimplemented Aug 10, 2020.

·         New curbside recycling hauler starting Nov 1

o   Yard waste will now extend until Dec 31.

·         HHW on 8/22/20: NEW Location 65 Waverly St (Thank you MIT & Susy!)

·         Recycle Center reopened on Saturdays only.

·         Small Business Recycle Program expanding Nov 1, 2020.

Committee members are appointed by the City Manager. All meetings are open to the public. Members of the public may speak during the public comment section for up to two minutes. If you wish to speak, please contact Mike Orr at 617 349-4815 or morr@cambridgema.gov by 1pm the day before the meeting. You may also email or mail written comments for inclusion in public comments in lieu of speaking during the meeting. The Committee Chair must grant permission to non-members who request to speak at the meeting.
