Labor Day Holiday Closures and Service Information

City Hall

In observance of the Labor Day Holiday on Monday, September 6, City of Cambridge offices, libraries, and senior centers will be closed.

Curbside collection of trash, recycling, compost, and yard waste will be suspended, and one day behind for the rest of the week. Regularly scheduled street cleaning routes for September 6 were previously swept. Payments will not be required at City of Cambridge parking meters and parking meter pay stations.

Additionally, the city's COVID-19 testing site at CambridgeSide mall will be closed on Monday, September 6, 2021 in observance of the Labor Day holiday. However, please note that beginning Wednesday, September 8, 2021, the City of Cambridge will offer COVID-19 testing 4 days per week.

Reminders related to above City services are available by text message, email, or app notifications by downloading the “Zero Waste Cambridge” app for iPhone/Android. Users can also register to receive reminders for the above services, as well as other City notifications, such as emergency and crime alerts via text or email at CambridgeMA.Gov/Subscribe.
