Most City of Cambridge offices, libraries, and senior centers will be closed on Friday, December 22 and Monday December 25 in observance of the Christmas holidays.

We have seen a significant surge in street cleaning violations, with the number of tickets continuing to increase each month. In order for street cleaning to remain tow-free residents must move their vehicles on designated street cleaning days.
Beginning November 1st, weather permitting, the City’s contractor, E J Paving, will begin performing partial roadway milling and grinding. Paving will begin the week of November 6th.
The last of four Household Hazardous Waste Collection Days in 2023 will be on Saturday, November 4, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., at 51 Mooney Street. Please enter the event via Fawcett St. This event is for Cambridge residents only.
Curbside collection of trash, recycling, compost, and yard waste will not be affected and will remain on its regular schedule for this holiday. Regularly scheduled street cleaning routes for Friday, November 10 will be cleaned on Monday, October 30.
