Next Up is Recruiting

Next Up is an employment program offered by DHSP’s Office of Workforce Development for Cambridge residents, ages 18-24, and who have graduated high school (or have a HiSet / GED) but are not enrolled in college or a training program. The program is designed for participants who are feeling stuck or unsure of their next steps to explore interests, gain work experience, and get the support needed to make their plans come to life.

Next Up is a 3-month program that offers:

  • 20 hour/week paid internship
  • Weekly paid skill-building workshops
  • One-on-one sessions with a career coach (which will continue after the program ends)
  • Career exploration (with interactive job visits)
  • Team Building

Next Up is recruiting for its fall cycle, which will run from October 2021 through December 2021.
Young adults who are enrolled in a college-level course but not full-time students may also be eligible to apply.
