The Cambridge Summer Food Program, in collaboration with Cambridge Recreation, is excited to introduce Fun Under the Sun, an initiative that encourages Cambridge youth to get active, have fun, and make connections.
Every Monday and Wednesday, July 7 - 30, young people can participate in a different sport or recreational activity happening at a Summer Food park location. Come for a nutritious, free lunch; stay to play!
- Open to Cambridge youth ages 18 and under.
- Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:30 – 2:45 p.m. at rotating Summer Food parks each week.
- All skill levels welcome! Staff will be on-site to teach participants how to play and participate.
- No registration needed.

Monday, July 7 – Field Day at Sennott Park featuring classic field games like potato sack races, relay races, “Steal the Bacon,” obstacle courses, a big parachute, and more!

Wednesday, July 23 – Flag Football at Russell Field (333 Rindge Ave.)
Monday, July 28 – Badminton and Volleyball at Donnelly Field (61 Willow St.)
Wednesday, July 30 – Field Day at Greene-Rose Heritage Park. (155 Harvard St.)
