Cambridge Parks & Playgrounds Guide Cover

With summer upon us, the City's parks and playgrounds provide relief from heat, areas for exercise, and a place to see family and friends. The City of Cambridge Community Development Department is providing printed guidebooks to the City's 80+ parks and playgrounds. Guidebooks will be distributed at parks throughout the summer and are available to download. There is also an interactive map of parks and playgrounds highlighting signature parks in each neighborhood.

The guidebook provides information about the facilities and amenities of parks and playgrounds throughout Cambridge, including a range of spaces, from athletic fields to community gardens and dog runs.

We hope this guide will help you explore the beauty and nature that Cambridge has to offer – and discover new places along the way.

Please check out the latest COVID-19 advisory to learn about any park restrictions and remember to observe public health guidelines, including the following precautions:

  • Do not visit playgrounds, tot lots, or water play structures if you feel sick.
  • Wash hands before and after use.
  • Maintain a distance of 6 feet (2 meters) from others at all times.
  • Wear face coverings at all times when you cannot maintain a distance of 6 feet (2 meters) from others.
  • Children should be monitored at all times to ensure they are maintaining proper distancing and wearing face coverings.
  • Seek alternative facilities if the area is too crowded or wait outside the area until social distancing is possible.
