Cambridge Police Invite Community to Two Upcoming Events: Coffee With A Cop on October 5 & Creating Connections Community Fair on October 8

Commissioner Christine Elow and the Cambridge Police Department want to invite the community to two events scheduled next week: Coffee with a Cop Day and Creating Connections, a community fair with Cambridge’s faith-based organizations.

Coffee with Cambridge Police and LGBTQ Flyer

NATIONAL COFFEE WITH A COP DAY

WHEN:
Wednesday, October 5, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

WHERE:
Starbucks, Central Square, 655 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA

WHAT:
This event represents a unique opportunity for community members to informally meet with Cambridge Police officers and staff in a neutral location to discuss community issues, address questions, and build relationships all over coffee.

Creating Connections Community Fair

CREATING CONNECTIONS COMMUNITY FAIR

WHEN:
Saturday, October 8, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

WHERE:
Joan Lorentz Park Outside the Cambridge Main Library, Broadway/Trowbridge, Cambridge, MA

WHAT:
This interfaith-based event is being hosted to provide a space for a number of engaging conversations between members of Cambridge’s faith-based organizations and the police, as well as between different members of Cambridge’s faith-based organizations. There will be free food, music, a bounce house, and other activities for all attendees.

Like all events, we look forward to meeting with residents, businesses, and our interfaith-based organizations, learning more about any possible concerns, addressing questions, and identifing how we can all work together to better improve our community.

If anyone has any questions about these events, please contact Jeremy Warnick, Director of Communications at the Cambridge Police Department, at pio@cambridgepolice.org or call 617-349-3237.
